Nuraghe Is Paras

The Is Paras Nuraghe is located in the town of Isili,in the province of Southern Sardinia.The Nuraghe Is Paras is among the most famous Nuraghi of the island it has beautiful form of vault of the central tower that is 11,80 meters high.The prehistoric fortress and the surrounding village rise on a limestone hill.The name of the Nuraghe means 'the friars', as the land on which it stands belonged from the 17th century to the Piarist fathers, who built a convent here.There are numerous significant settlements nearby: Chistingiònis,Pranu 'e Ollas, Molas,S. Antoni and Crastu.
