Nuraghe Tittiriola

Description

The single tower Nuraghe is entirely made of medium and large basaltic stone, which can be placed between 1600 and 1000 BC, dominating the area from the top of a plateau. The tower is ten meters high and has a circular plan with a diameter of 14 meters and a height of 9.30 meters. The central room is intact: it has three niches, an entrance with an architrave and a passageway with stairs. All around stood a large village. There are also traces of later Punic eras (Forte di Pabude), ruins of Roman villas and Byzantine remains.
