Description

Capo Comino Beach is located in North Eastern Sardinia just fifteen kilo meters from Siniscola. It is one of the most popular and fascinating beaches on the island and is characterized by very high white sand dunes and a clear and low seabed for several meters from the beach. Junipers and Mediterranean scrub emerge from the dunes and for its beauty and peculiarity it was the setting for Lina Wertmüller's film (1974) "Overwhelmed by an unusual fate in the blue sea of August" and his remake of Guy Ritchie (2001). Much appreciated by diving enthusiasts who can admire the remains of a Roman fleet, a small French plane and a ship from 1942 in its depths. Ideal beach for children and the elderly.
