Description
The Nuraghe Alèri is located in the territory of Tertenia, on a hill from which it dominates the beach of Foxi Manna, on the southern coast of Ogliastra, a region of western Sardinia. It is a complex nuraghe dating back to between 1400 and 1000 BC. consisting of a main tower, covered in tholos, to which other masonry parts were subsequently added. Originally it was surrounded, along the slope, by circular and oval walls of which today only the remains remain and which probably were part of a village. This fascinating site was frequented until the Roman Punic age.
