Isola di Figarolo

Description

The Island of Figarolo, whose name is due to the presence of fig trees, is located in the extreme north-eastern tip of Sardinia, south-west of Capo Figari, in front of Cala Moresca. pyramidal shape 139 meters above sea level, strongly characterizes the landscape of Golfo Aranci and is made up of limestone rock lying on an underwater granite base, very similar to the Island of Tavolara. The islet can only be reached by sea and docking is possible on the beautiful beach only by small boats, and by swimming from the nearby Cala Moresca or Cala Greca. The surrounding seabed with submerged caves, black corals, sea urchins, lobsters, sponges and gorgonians are a destination for scuba diving lovers.
