Isola di Tuerredda

Description

The island of Tuerredda is located inside an inlet between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, in the territory of Teulada, in the south-western extremity of Sardinia. Located about one hundred and fifty meters from the Sardinian coast where there is a splendid beach that takes the name of the island itself. On the island, now uninhabited, there are remains of buildings attributed to the Punic-Phoenician civilization, and pottery shards have also been found. The colors of the water go from blue to emerald green, white sand and smooth rocks. The landscape is typical of southern Sardinia, covered with dense Mediterranean scrub. The Isolotto can be reached by swimming or even by pedal boat from the beach.
