The Marmorata Islands are small, almost set among the rocks, of granite nature, surrounded by a sea of crystalline colors and a shallow seabed. Located in the homonymous locality in northern Sardinia in front of the beautiful beach of La Marmorata from which you can see Corsica in the background and from which they can also be reached by swimming. They belong to the municipality of Santa Teresa di Gallura. Currently populated by rare species of animals and plants, the Pediagra lizard for example, which lives only here hidden among the succulents, which cover a large part of the surface of the islands. It is also the favorite place for seagulls and cormorants where they nest and lay their eggs. The sea populated by fish and shellfish is a favorite destination for underwater fishermen. On the islands there are also the remains of an ancient Roman granite quarry.
