Description

Porto Ferro beach is located in an inlet along the north west coast of Sardinia about twenty kilo meters from the city of Alghero. The beach is quite wide and about two kilograms long of red sand, surrounded by dunes, it is protected at both ends by red trachyte promontories. A part of the beach is frequented, and officially authorized since 2017, by lovers of naturist tourism. Three Spanish towers and an ancient fortification dating from the Second World War dominate the beach. The sea is crystal clear and with emerald green shades. This bay is reserved for winds, so it is very popular with surfers.
