Company Phoenix Reisen
MS Artania is the flagship of the Phoenix Reisen fleet. Built in 1984 by the Wärtsilä shipyard in Helsinki for Princess Cruises as the Royal Princess, she was christened in Southampton with Princess Diana of Wales as her godmother. After sailing for P&O Cruises as the Artemis, she joined the German operator Phoenix Reisen in 2011 under her current name. With a length of 230.61 metres and a beam of 29.20 metres, she accommodates up to 1,260 passengers in 588 cabins across 8 passenger decks. A classic, elegant cruise ship, she recently underwent a major €20 million refurbishment that renewed cabins, restaurants and public areas. She sails Mediterranean and Northern European itineraries as well as long world voyages.
