Spiaggia di Balai

The Balai Beach is located in the municipality of Porto Torres, in the Balai area, in northern Sardinia. It is the city beach of this urban agglomeration, enclosed on the sides by limestone rocks, it is characterized by golden and soft sand and has a clear sea with a shallow seabed for several meters from the shore towards the open sea. This suggestive beach, of medium size, is inserted in a city context, full of palms and aromatic plants, which makes it easily accessible and very popular in the summer season.It is famous for the annual appointment, which has become tradition of the New Year's bath.
