Description

The Cala Murtas beach is located in the territory of Villaputzu, in southern Sardinia, in the hamlet of Quirra. It is a long, enchanting beach extending for about six kilo meters that takes on different names depending on the portion in which it is located. Cala Murtas occupies the northernmost part, near the Torre di Murtas, and is made up of white and coarse sand that forms suggestive dunes adorning the rear part, along with water and rivers, of this enchanting part of the coast. The sea is crystal clear and very clean, with colors ranging from green to blue, and the seabed is low and sandy, suitable for families with children. The view from the beach is enriched by the presence of the islet of Quirra, about a kilo meter and a half away, which can also be reached by swimming by the more experienced.
