Description

The Poglina Beach is located on the north-western coast of Sardinia, in the municipality of Villanova Monteleone, about fifteen kilo meters from Alghero city. It is a small cove, about four hundred meters wide, characterized by very fine white sand as impalpable as flour: hence its name in Sardinian poddina (later Poglina) means flour. The clear and turquoise sea is often rough and this makes it particularly popular with surfers. The seabed is low and sandy so it is suitable for children and the elderly. The whole cove is surrounded by a fragrant Mediterranean scrub which increases the charm of this suggestive beach.
