Spiaggia di Baia Salinedda

Description

The Baia Salinedda beach is located in the splendid town of Capo Coda Cavallo, in the municipality of San Teodoro on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. It is a very large beach, characterized by light medium-grained sand, with a compact beach, with some beached posidonia. The beautiful calm and crystalline sea, with colors that mix together in an expanse of turquoise, blue and emerald green shades is sheltered by the Ruia Island, the seabed is low and sandy. Close to the beach, a small lagoon, which in ancient times, like many others in the area, was a salt pan where salt was produced for drying, now the habitat of numerous species of sedentary and migratory animals. From April to September you can find the beautiful knights of Italy, who nest here and raise their young. The wild lilies that bloom in the summer in the middle of the sand dunes are also very beautiful. Behind the beach there is a small pond which in winter hosts numerous species of aquatic fauna, surrounded by the greenery of a dense Mediterranean vegetation and shrubs.
