The Monte d’Arena Beach is located between Punta Abbatoggia and Punta Marginetto, on the island of La Maddalena, along the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. It is a long and wide beach that takes its name from a sand dune about ten meters high and makes this corner of the coast particularly suggestive. The sand is clear and compact, with large grains, with some granite rocks emerging at the ends. It is surrounded by rocks smoothed by the wind and Mediterranean scrub and has a crystalline and clear sea, populated by fish fauna, much appreciated by diving enthusiasts. The seabed near the shore is low and sandy and slopes gently towards the open sea.The location is moderately frequented, never too crowded, but it is an undisputed destination for vacationers because it is windy and therefore offers refreshment on the hottest days.
