Description

In the Gulf of Gonnesa, in the south-western part of Sardinia, there is the enchanting Porto Paglia beach. It is a long beach of about four kilo meters of golden sand with dunes that in some places cover the shrubs that grow behind it. In the terminal part of Porto Paglia, the beach is characterized by the various coves protected by a promontory with Mediterranean scrub that protects it from the winds coming from the east. The seabed is sandy and shallow for long stretches, the crystalline sea when it is rough is particularly appreciated by surfers and kite surfers. Very interesting is the small church of the tonnara built among the rocks and can be visited at low tide.
