Description

Within the Protected Marine Area of the Sinis Peninsula, in western Sardinia, there is the enchanting Putzu Idu Beach. Located, more precisely, between the beach of S'arena Scoada and that of the Mandriola, it is characterized by a long stretch of about two kilo meters of white and soft sand surrounded by the salt pans immediately behind it, habitat of pink flamingos and other species rare. The Caribbean-colored sea has sandy and shallow bottoms even near the shore and for several meters from the shoreline, making it suitable for families with children and the elderly. From here boats depart for excursions to the island of Mal di Ventre.
