The Poltu Biancu beach, also known as Poltu Bianco, is located in Baia delle Mimose, within the municipality of Badesi, in northern Sardinia, and overlooks the splendid Gulf of Asinara. This beach takes its name from the light sand, and is formed by a long tongue of medium-grained and compact sand, the sea has a shallow bottom that slopes rapidly, therefore not suitable for families with children and inexperienced swimmers, with colored water iridescent that varies from emerald green to turquoise, in some places there are steps and deep holes. Presence of posidonia both beached and in the water. The beach of Poltu Biancu is much loved by windsurfers, surfers and kite surfers due to the presence of mistral winds and is never too crowded, given its wide extension.
